Tea cakes?
This lady went to church when I was little, I used to make cookies called tea cakes. She died before I was old enough to care for the recipe. Does anyone have a recipe for this? All recipes I found a sound like a sugar cookie. It was not nothing like a sugar cookie at all. I was hoping that someone had book recipe for his grandmother or grandmother, even we have an old recipe for them. thin, crisp, simple, not too sweet, that's all I remember. No fruit or oatmeal or something. They were kind of vanilla (and) and smooth at the time, but not as sugarry like a sugar cookie.
